WEATHER: Warm breezy Saturday, showers return late Sunday

Rain moves east this morning into Wisconsin and returns late afternoon through Sunday evening.

MINNESOTA, USA — After our morning showers, the best chance of rain over the weekend comes Sunday late afternoon through the evening into Monday morning as a larger system moves through the region.

A cold front moving in from the west will clear out our morning showers and cloud cover while cooling our temperatures and lowering the humidity for the evening.

Our next storm system will be arriving from the southwest Sunday afternoon bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms to the area; the Twin Cities is likely to see storms hitting in the evening hours and continuing overnight into Monday morning.

Following showers and thunderstorms Sunday evening into Monday, we expect a good round of soaking rain on Tuesday. It looks as though the severe weather threat will remain to our southeast leaving us with scattered showers and possible downpours. Rain chances will remain low through the rest of the week; however, there are signs of a growing chance of rain setting up for Friday.

Temperatures cool slightly through the weekend but remain well above average through Monday. Tuesday brings cooler weather along with a good chance of a soaking rain followed by below-average temperatures to close out the work week.
